Vieo draws its inspiration from traditional roofing and features a flat pan with up-stands either side. These up-stands sit over one another and are mechanically folded to become watertight. The colours available mimic materials like zinc, copper and lead which make Vieo an engineered, factory manufactured alternative to traditional metal roofing..
Euroclad approach sustainability with absolute integrity and employ a holistic approach to cradle to cradle sustainability which aims to minimise the environmental impact of the production of components, manufacturing processes, transport, installation, use and end of life. Also included is life cycle assessment of environmental impact categories such as global warming, resource depletion, embodied energy, eutrophication, acidification and volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions.
Vieo generally offers A or A+ BREEAM Green Guide rating - please refer to our technical office for more information.
Euroclad has achieved accreditation of the ISO 14001 environmental management system, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to environmental concerns.
By specifying Vieo, it is possible to protect your pocket as well as the planet. Euroclad's cradle to cradle approach can deliver a sustainable metal roof and wall solution that doesn't cost the earth.
With the ever-increasing cost of energy and demands for lower carbon emissions, it is important to achieve low U value and good air tightness systems for thermally efficient buildings. Vieo offers robust solutions to achieving excellent performance.
The current Building Regulations Part L came into force in October 2010 and focused on improving the overall energy performance of buildings. Vieo features high density RocSlab insulation that can achieve U-values as low as 0.15W/m2K using 240mm of insulation. The system is designed to eliminate cold bridging, reduce the risk of condensation and provide good air tightness.
Vieo warm roof construction uses non-combustible Rockfibre insulation, thereby reducing the risk of fire spread and complying with all necessary legislation. The fire performance of any building system is paramount to the safety of the building occupants and the prevention of fire spread - the use of non-combustible rock fibre insulation can help eliminate risk.
Revisions to Part B of the Building Regulations have meant that, for the first time, designers are being asked to complete a fire risk assessment as the first stage of any design process - underlining a new fire prevention approach that asks designers to identify fire risks at an early stage, and try to remove them.
Key to any low fire risk solution is a building design that limits fire spread. When it comes to selecting a roofing system it makes sense to use non- combustible insulation and metal external sheets to provide confidence and peace of mind.
In order to comply with current building regulations (Part L) the thermal performance of the system must be determined in compliance with BS EN 10211/1 and 2, to achieve the required U-value. Details of methods for showing compliance are available in the Governments Approved Document itself, the MCRMA Technical Paper 14 and Euroclad's Construction Details book. As well as publishing the U values for standard system, the 'psi' values (cold bridging around details) and F factors (reducing the risk of condenstaion) are available for robust and bespoke details.
NBS draft specifications are provided for standard constructions and can be tailored to suit project performance requirements through consultation.
This service can utilise our experience and the flexibility of built-up systems, which can respond individually to your requirements for specific thermal, acoustic, structural and other performance considerations.

As part of its commitment to quality, service and the environment, Euroclad operates a Quality Management System approved to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and an Environmental Management System approved to BS EN ISO 14001:2004.
Euroclad continues to enhance its wide range of products and high levels of manufacturing excellence; building on the sustainability, performance and design flexibility already inherent in its construction systems and production processes.
Due to manufacturing efficiencies and the relative simplicity of installation the Vieo roofing system is very cost-effective. The continuous manufacture of sheets results in economies of scale and the simple installation process means less time onsite. When considering the lifetime cost of the building the energy performance remains consistent for the life of the building and the material durability provides peace of mind. At the end of life components can be disassembled easily and the steel and stone wool insulation recycled, generating an income from recycling of metal components.
